dc.description.abstract | Solar panels are energy conversion devices that can convert sunlight intensity into moving electrons or what is called electric current. The use of solar panels can generate electrical energy using sunlight energy. The solar panels installed so far are still static, unidirectional in one orientation. Static means that solar panels cannot move when the direction of sunlight changes. The impact of this low solar panel efficiency, affects the electrical power output of solar panels. Panel efficiency is also sensitive to wind speed, high temperatures also reduce solar panel efficiency and cause a decrease in electricity production. Solar Tracking is a device that directs the payload towards the sun. The payload can be a solar panel. Single Axis Solar Tracker can rotate the system along only one axis. The axis of rotation of the sun tracks using sensors or other tries to keep the panel perpendicular to the sun. Based on the measurements obtained, the power measurement value using a load of 1 Solar Cell (7.5 kg) produces 18.9 Watts of power (at Low speed), 19.5 Watts (at Mid speed), and 25.4 Watts (at High speed). As for when using the load of 2 Solar Cells (15 kg) the power generated is higher, 30.7 Watts (at Low speed), 49.32 Watts (at Mid speed), 52.9 Watts (at High speed) | en_US |
