Abstract

Number auxiliaries are words that have the function of describing units of objects in a sentence. Number aids in Chinese are divided into two types. One of them is the number auxiliary used for the noun 名量词(míng liàngcí). The purpose of this study is to find out and explain the noun number auxiliaries 名量词(míng liàngcí) found in 10 bedtime stories on qigushi website. This research uses qualitative descriptive method. From the results of this study, it is found that the stories in the 10 bedtime stories on the qigushi website, there is the use of noun number auxiliaries 名量词(míng liàngcí) with different types depending on the context of the sentence in the story. Based on the results and discussion, it can be concluded that there are 20 results of the individual number auxiliary 个体名量 词(gètǐ míng liàngcí), 4 results of the collective number auxiliary 集体名量词 (jítǐ míng liàngcí), 1 result of the size number auxiliary 度量衡名量词 (dùliànghéng míng liàngcí), 8 results of the indefinite number auxiliary 不定量名 量词(bù dìngliàng míng liàngcí), and 3 results of the loan number auxiliary 借 用名量词(jièyòng míng liàngcí).
