dc.description.abstract | A combustion engine is a type of heat engine that converts chemical energy (fuel) into heat energy (thermal energy) which is then converted into mechanical energy (motion). Increasing the compression ratio in an internal combustion engine will cause more complete combustion in the combustion chamber. This research aims to analyze the effect of dome piston modification treatment on the performance of the Honda Beat 110 cc motorbike which includes torque, power and fuel consumption with the standard version as a comparison, as well as analyzing changes in compression ratio before and after installing the dome piston on the Honda Beat 110cc. The method used is the experimental method which is a method used to test the effect of a new treatment or design (modification) by comparing the design with a standard design as a control or comparison. In this test, the results showed that there was a change in the compression ratio from 9.2: 1 to 10.9: 1. In addition, there was an increase in the torque value of 8.19% (from 7.57 N.m to 8.21 N.m) and a power value of 11.44 % (from 6.64 Hp to 7.4 Hp).
