Cultural diplomacy is an instrument of the state by using art culture as a tool to build relationships and cooperation with other countries.Through the spread of the Korean Wave, many collaborations and investments were agreed upon by Indonesia and South Korea. Through the Korean Wave phenomenon, it has a great influence on areas of cooperation such as trade, socio-culture, and education. Cooperation in the field of automotive industry technology is also a great opportunity for both countries to increase economic growth. Through increasing market demand, cooperation between Indonesia and South Korea has reached the stage of building factories in Indonesia, this is South Korea's commitment to maximizing cooperation in Indonesia. This research is a study with qualitative methodology. With this type of descriptive qualitative research used to describe and understand phenomena or events in depth, the data collection technique used is to use secondary data as a writing reference source. Secondary data sources used by researchers are data obtained from observations, journals, reports, books, archival records, news, and documentation. Through cooperation and utilization of the Korean Wave phenomenon, there have been many innovations through the Hyundai Group, such as the opening of investment in the construction of electric car factories and investment in the development of electric car production in Indonesia.
