Sexual violence is defined as forced and non-consent sexual acts that leads to both short mid long-term health risks, including reproductive, physical. and mental health issues. Sexual violence has become a global concern that requires urgent attention. This Research investigates the correlation of parent-adolescent communication and adolescents' self protection from sexual violence in Medan. This is a quantitative Research with a descriptive correlational method involving 52 female students in grades X and XI at Islamic Senior High School (MAS) AI Jamiyatul Washliyah in Medan, selected using a purposive sampling. The data are processed by the Chi-Square test. The Research finds that 73.1% of respondents report a good parent-adolescent communication, 98.1% demonstrate good self protection skills. and 94.2% exhibit a low risk of sexual violence. The results of Chi-Square rest reveal a significant correlation of parent-adolescent communication and sexual violence (p-value = 0.003, a=0.05). whereas no significant correlation of adolescents' self protection s/..ills and sexual violence (p value = 0.803, a=0.05). Therefore, fostering effective parent-adolescent communication and enhancing adolescents' self protection skills are critical for preventing sexual violence. It is recommended to enhance awareness about the importance of communication between parents and adolescents to prevent sexual violence.en_US
