Pertumbuhan dan Biologi Reproduksi Ikan Tembang (Sardinella fimbriata) yang Didaratkan di Tempat Pendaratan Ikan (Tpi) Gabion Belawan Provinsi Sumatera Utara
Growth and Reproductive Biology of Fringescale Sardinella (Sardinella fimbriata) Landed at Fish Auction Place (TPI) Gabion Belawan, North Sumatra Province
Abstract
Fringescale Sardinella (Sardinella fimbriata) is a small pelagic fish which is one of
main catch of fishermen and landed at TPI Gabion Belawan, North Sumatra
Province. The purpose of this study was to determine the growth, exploitation rate,
and reproductive biology of Fringescale sardinella (S. fimbriata) landed at Fish
Auction Place (TPI) Gabion. This research was conducted from Oktober to
Desember 2023. The method used was random purposive sampling method with an
interval of one month. The number of fish samples was 184 fish with a total length of
140 – 199 mm and a total weight of 21,91– 67,30 gr. The results of the length-weight
relationship showed a positif allometric growth pattern, the condition factor was
classified as less flat on average in the range of 0,752– 1,242. Based on the combined
growth parameters the value of L∞ (199,60 mm), K (1,30 tahun), and t0 (-0,0719).
The annual total mortality rate (Z) is 4,08, natural mortality (M) is 1,28, fishing
mortality (F) is 2,80 and exploitation rate (E) is 0,69 with overfishing category.
Fringescale sardinella recruitment occurred in June (11,05%) and August (14,34%).
Reproduction results show that the sex ratio is in a balanced state namely 1:1,033.
The maturity level of gonads for Fringescale sardinella fish at TKG I – TKG IV, egg
fecundity ranges from 1.012 – 50.374 eggs and based on the diameter of the
Fringescale sardinella eggs it is classified as a partial spawner.
