Morfometrik Meristik dan Pola Pertumbuhan Ikan Lemeduk (Barbonymus schwanenfeldii) di Sungai Lau Belawan, Pancur Batu Provinsi Sumatera Utara
Meristic Morphometrics and Growth of tinfoil barb (Barbonymus schwanenfeldii) in Lau Belawan River, Pancur Batu, North Sumatra Province
Abstract
The tinfoil barb is one of the consumable fishery resources with a fairly high price. Over time, with the increase in various activities along the river, tinfoil barb is favored by the surrounding population. The trend of fishing along the Lau Belawan River carried out by fishermen also pays little attention to the sustainability of fish population resources. Gradually, this condition will make it likely that the fish population will decline if management and development are not immediately carried out (Aisyah et al., 2017). The study aimed to determine the morphometric and meristic of tinfoil barb fish (Barbonymus schwanenfeldii) in Lau Belawan River, Pancur Batu, North Sumatra. This research was conducted from November 2023 to January 2024 with fish sampling time intervals of 1 month twice for 3 months. Morphometric and meristic data analysis at the Laboratory of Biology and Aquaculture, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara. The results showed that the analysis of morphometric characteristics of tinfoil barb fish in the Lau Belawan river there is a cluster of 1 type of fish that has the same characteristics consisting of k27, k52, and k26, at station II consists of fish species k8, k46, k2 and k1, and station III consists of k79, k110, and k112, and the meristic characteristics of tinfoil barb respectively obtained are as follows. The number of linea literalis scales was in the range of 32-36, 32 and 32-38, transverse body scales in the range of 16-18, 14-16 and 12-16, frontal dorsal fin scales in the range of 15-16, 15, and 12-16, caudal peduncle scales in the range of 16, number of dorsal fins in the range of DIII.8, number of pelvic fins in the range of VI.8, pectoral fins in the range of PI.8-10, PI.8, and PI.6-12, number of anal fins AIII.6, and caudal fins 32 and 25-34. The growth of tinfoil barb (Barbonymus schawanenfeldii) in the Lau Belawan River at stations I, II and III is negative allometric, with condition factors showing a less flat body shape, at station I the value of the growth coefficient (K) of male fish is 0.51 with an L∞ value of 167 mm and in female fish the value of the growth coefficient (K) of male fish is 1.01 with an L∞ value of 168.86 mm. At station II, the K value of male fish is 1.01 with an L∞ value of 270.73 mm and in female fish the K value of male fish is 1.01 with an L∞ value of 262 mm while at station III the K value of male fish is 0.51 with an L∞ value of 182.70 mm and in female fish the K value of male fish is 1.01 with an L∞ value of 175.93 mm.
