dc.description.abstractProgrammable Logic Controller (PLC) is an important component that is widely used for control or industrial automatic engineering operations, especially in electric motor control. PLC-based electric motor control has many applications in the industrial world such as controlling elevators, conveyors and so on. Therefore, researchers designed an Omron CP1E PLC-based 1 phase AC electric motor control panel as a learning medium. This study aims to provide knowledge about AC 1 phase electric motor control both in practice and theory as well as an overview of electric motor control in industry. The panel is equipped with Omron CP1E PLC components as motor controllers and programmed using CX-Programer software, 24VDC Power Supply as a PLC input voltage source, Normally Open (NO) Push Button as a start button, Normally Close (NC) Push Button as a stop button, light indicator as motor indicator 1 and 2, and AC 1 Phase electric motor as Output / output. The working system of this tool is when Push Button NO is pressed, motor 1 will turn on and the timer is active for 5 seconds and motor 2 will turn on. Then, if the NC push button is pressed, motor 2 will stop and the timer is active for 5 seconds and motor 1 stops. This operating system is usually found on machines in the industry.en_US
