Basically, the use of AC is used as an air conditioner, especially in hot areas to obtain thermal comfort. The heat energy that comes out of the condenser can be used to heat water. The application of energy conservation is called Air Conditioner Water Heater (ACWH). ACWH utilizes hot freon which will flow to a Heat Exchanger which will heat the water in the holding tank. The aim of this research is to design and build a Helical type water heater by utilizing waste heat from the Split AC condenser to heat water. The results obtained from this research are the design of a helical type Air Conditioner Water Heater (ACWH) using the waste heat of the Ac 3/4 PK condenser and the manufacture of a water heater using the waste heat of the condenser and a water tank and its insulator with a water capacity of 150L. The type of heat exchanger used in this research is the helical type with a length of 7.55m. The water heater that has been built can heat water from an initial temperature of 27˚C to 45˚C.
