Perilaku Risiko Petani Padi Organik dan Anorganik (Kasus : Desa Pematang Setrak, Kecamatan Teluk Mengkudu, Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai)

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the magnitude of production risk, income risk and analyze how farmers behave in facing the risks of organic and inorganic rice farming in Pematang Setrak Village, Teluk Mengkudu District, Serdang Bedagai Regency. The data analysis carried out to determine the magnitude of production risk and income risk is a quantitative method with risk analysis to determine variance, standard deviation, coefficient of variation, lower limit values for production and income. To find out how farmers behave in facing the risks of organic and inorganic rice farming using a quadratic utility function using the Bernouli principle with the N-M (Neumann-Morgenstern) technique. The research results show that the risk of organic and inorganic rice farming production in the research area is relatively high, and the behavior of organic and inorganic rice farmers in the research area is mostly risk taker. The risk taker behavior of inorganic rice farmers in Pematang Setrak Village is a critical finding which states that many inorganic farmers are risk takers despite the fact that the risks they face are relatively high.
