dc.description.abstract | PDAM Tirtanadi is a company that operates in the service and provision of clean water for the general public, especially in the city of Medan and its surroundings. PDAM Tirtanadi's operations are financed through income received by PDAM Tirtanadi from customers who use PDAM Tirtanadi's services. However, the income received by PDAM Tirtanadi is not optimal due to the high level of customer arrears at PDAM Tirtanadi, especially at PDAM Tirtanadi Medan City Branch. This research aims to determine the factors that can cause arrears in customer water bill payments at the Tirtanadi Regional Drinking Water Company (PDAM) Medan City Branch. This research is descriptive research with qualitative methods, and primary data sources were obtained from informants, namely the Finance Department and customers who were in arrears on water payments. The research results show that the factors that cause arrears in water bill payments include; 1) Customer economic conditions; 2) Water is not running; 3) Water Quality; 4) Customer water meters are buried; 5) The customer's gate is locked; 6) Usage soars; 7) Lack of awareness of the importance of payment; 8) The officer did not deliver the notice of arrears; 9) Lack of officers to carry out termination; 10) Changes in water use habits; 11) Ignorance of payment methods. | en_US |
