Analisis Campur Kode Bahasa Arab dalam Series “Arab maklum”

Abstract

This study aims to describe the kinds of Arabic code mix and analyze the factors that cause Arabic code mix in the series Arab Maklum. This research is a study of Sociolinguistics using the theory of code mix proposed by Suandi. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method. The data collection technique is through the listening method, by listening to data in the form of videos which then require recordings in the form of notes with note-taking techniques. The data collected is primary data, namely dialogs that contain elements of code mix. The data analysis technique uses the intralingual pairing method, namely comparing lingual elements. The results of this study found that in the series Arab Maklum there is Arabic code mix which there are three kinds of forms of code mix used. Among them are 1) word code mix; 2) phrase code mix; 3) clause code mix. This study also found that the factors that cause the occurrence of Arabic code mixing are 1) the limitations of code use; 2) the use of more popular terms; 3) the speaker and the speaker's personality; 4) the speaking partner; 5) the topic; 6) the function and purpose; 7) to evoke a sense of humor.
