dc.description.abstractThis research was supervised by Mrs. Ir. Diana Chalil M.Si., Ph.D as the supervisor. Rice is one of the most important food ingredients for the people of Indonesia. One of the companies that plays a role in the supply and distribution of rice in Indonesia is BULOG. However, rice from BULOG is often doubted by the public. The objectives of this study are: 1) Knowing how the perception of the people of Medan City towards BULOG SPHP rice; 2) Know what factors are related to the purchasing decision of the people of Medan City for SPHP BULOG rice. The analysis method used is Chi-square analysis. The results of the chi-square analysis show that the factors related to the purchasing decisions of the people of Medan City towards BULOG SPHP rice are factors such as education level, amount of family income and consumer perception. While the number of dependents factor is not related to the purchase decision made by consumers.en_US
