dc.description.abstract | To meet the export needs of nutmeg, the role of agricultural processing
technology, especially in brealing stage is very important.this process has been
done mechanically but it still produced higher losses compared to the perfect
breaking. The purpose of this research was to modify the rotor and the power
used to increase the efficiency of nutmeg breaking using a mechanical nutmeg
breaker. In this study, the physical and mechanical properties of nutmeg were
measured to modify the rotor and power used in the nutmeg breaker, and an
economic analysis was conducted to analyze the economic feasibility of the tool.
Furthermore, based on economic analysis, this tool is feasible to use as a result of
NPV> 0, which is Rp. 1,254,544,308 / year at 6% interest rate and Rp.
1,167,556,065 / year at 10% interest rate. BEP value of 3. 927.273 Kg / year. And
the IRR value on this tool is 67.69%. This research is focused on determining the
dimensions of each component such as V-belt, rotor breaker, power from the
