Analisis Kepribadian Tokoh dalam Novel صهيون لفطير دم/ Damun Lifaṭīr Ṣahyūn/ ‘Taring-Taring Pengkhianat’ Karya Najib Al-Kailani

Abstract

This research discusses personality types of characters in the novel دم لفطير صهيون /Damun Lifaṭīr Ṣahyūn/ ‘Taring-Taring Pengkhianat’ by Najib Al-Kailani. The purpose of this research is to describe the personalities of the characters. This research is qualitative research using descriptive analysis methods. In this research, psychoanalytic theory was used which was pioneered by Carl Gustav Jung. In collecting data, the method used is documentation study. The technique used in this research is reading and taking notes. The data for this research are the narratives and dialogues of the characters in the novel دم لفطير صهيون /Damun Lifaṭīr Ṣahyūn/ ‘Taring-Taring Pengkhianat’ which consists of 140 pages summarized in 22 chapters. The results of this research found 20 characters who meet personality types. The personality type of extraverted mind is owned by the characters Dawud, Hakhom Slanikly, Syarif Basya, Hakhom Ishak, Hakhom Yusuf, Hakhom Harun, Ali Basya. The extraverted feeling personality type is owned by the characters Padri Tomaso and Sheikh. The character Haziq Bik has the intuitive extraverted personality type. The personality type of introverted feeling is owned by the characters Camelia, Murad, Ibrahim Ammar, Astir, Sulaiman's wife, Betsyoto. The personality type of introverted mind is owned by the characters Sulaiman, Hakhom Afandi, Al-Anthabi. The character Santi has the introverted, intuitive personality type. The conclusion obtained from this research is that all characters meet eight personality types and the most dominant types are extraversion of thoughts and introversion of feelings.
