Strawberry fruit is a herbaceous fruit plant found from Chile, America. Strawberry fruit is known as a widely grown Hybrid species fruit of the genus Fragaria, strawberry fruit was first discovered in Italy but this fruit is even more famous in America. Strawberry fruit is one type of fruit that has high economic value. Strawberries are widely produced in almost all regions of the world, including tropical and subtropical regions. This study presents a comparative analysis between strawberry cultivation practices in Japan, which is known for its advanced technology, and Indonesia, which faces challenges in terms of technological resources. The results show that environmental factors such as temperature, photoperiod, and light intensity have a significant effect on growth, yield, and fruit quality. In addition, it is known that changes in environmental conditions determine the development of strawberry plants to flowering. Cultivation in greenhouses is a solution to overcome climate diversity. Strawberry cultivation in Japan and Indonesia has different challenges and opportunities, due to differences in climate, environment, technology, and social and economic aspects.en_US
