Gambaran Pengetahuan Ibu Hamil tentang Anemia pada Kehamilan di Posyandu Mekar Desa Tanjung Alam Kabupaten Asahan
Description of Pregnant Women's Knowledge of Anemia during Pregnancy at Mekar Posyandu, Tanjung Alam Village, Asahan Regency
Abstract
Anemia in pregnancy is a serious nutritional problem in Indonesia so that it needs special attention. It has bad impact on a woman and the fetus in her womb. It can also cause the risk of death in pregnant women in Indonesia. The objective of the research is to determine description of pregnant women's knowledge of anemia during pregnancy at Mekar Posyandu (Integrated Health Service Post), Tanjung Alam Village, Asahan Regency. The samples are taken by using total sampling technique. The data are gathered from November until December, 2022. The research results show that from the 15 respondents, four of them (26.7%) have good knowledge of anemia during pregnancy, six respondents (40%) have moderate knowledge of anemia in pregnancy, and five respondents (33.3%) have poor knowledge. It is concluded that most of the pregnant women at Tanjung Alam Village do not have good knowledge of the concept of anemia during pregnancy. It is recommended that health care providers increase pregnant women's knowledge through more regular education and counseling on anemia during pregnancy to prevent them from anemia during pregnancy.
