dc.description.abstract | High environmental temperatures cause heat stress in broilers which is characterized by decreased growth rate, hormonal balance disorders, decreased feed consumption and disruption of broiler comfort. This research aims to determine the effect of using a combination of Kersen Leaves (DK) and Soursop Leaves (DS) as antioxidants on the performance of broiler chickens (feed consumption, body weight gain and feed conversion). The design used in this research was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 5 replications. Each replication contains 5 broiler chickens. Treatment consisted of PO (control), P1 (DK 9%), P2 (DS 3%), P3 (DK 6% + DS 3%), P4 (DK 3% + DS 6%). The parameter observed was the performance of broiler chickens.
The research results showed that the use of a combination of DK and DS extracts as antioxidants had a real influence on the performance of broiler chickens by increasing the average feed consumption P3(90.36 g) and body weight gain P3(61.36g) as well as reducing the feed conversion value P3(1.49).
