Rabbit are one of the nocturnal animals or can be said to be active at night. Sunlight can limit the vision of nocturnal animals, so they can see better at night. Light is an electromagnetic wave which is also a spectrum of light that can be seen by the eye and does not produce heat. But so far the effect of light color on rabbit production has not been analyzed. This research was carried out to determine the effect of duration and color of light on the behavior and performance of local male rabbits. The experiment was carried out using the scan sampling method and a completely randomized factorial design (CRD) with 2 factors and 4 replications. The first factor is the duration of light which consists of 3 treatments, namely T1 = 6 hours; T2= 9 hours; T3= 12 hours. The second factor is the color of light which consists of 2 treatments, namely L0 = white; L1= yellow. The research results showed that the brighter the color of the light and the longer the duration of the light increased behavioral activity for drinking and sleeping. The dimmer the color of the light and the shorter the duration of the light, increasing activity for eating, cleaning the body, sitting and jumping. The duration of light was significantly different (p<0.05) on body weight gain, feed consumption and feed conversion. The provision of colored light did not significantly differ (p>0.05) on body weight gain, feed consumption and feed conversion.
