Silver Whiting Fish (Sillago sihama) is one of the demersal fish which is included in the main catch of fishermen in the waters of the Malacca Strait. The aim of this research is to determine the growth and reproductive biology of silver whiting (S. sihama) which was landed at TPI Bagan Deli Belawan, North Sumatra. This research was carried out in Oktober−Desember 2023. The number of fish samples during the research was 207 with a total length between 112-196 and a total weight between 13-56 grams. The growth pattern of bamboo shoot fish is negative allometric with a less flat condition factor value in the range of 0.58−1.45. Based on the von Bertalanffy growth equation, for male silver whiting fish (Loand K) measure 164,60 mm and 2,01 mm/year, while female silver whiting fish (Loand K) measure 167,25 mm and 1,01 mm/year. The value Lc < Lm indicates the category of growth overfishing. Silver Whiting Fish reproduction shows an unbalanced sex ratio of 1:2, but the stock in these waters is still considered ideal. The level of fish gonad maturity is at TKG I-IV with the IKG value as the TKG increases. Egg fecundity ranges from 18,642-45,276 with classified as a partial spawner.
