Keanekaragaman Makrozoobenthos di Pantai Sialang Buah Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai Provinsi Sumatera Utara

Abstract

Sialang Buah Beach is located in Teluk Mengkudu District, Serdang Bedagai Regency, North Sumatra Province. The aim of this research was to determine the biodiversity of macrozoobenthos and the relationship between macrozoobenthos diversity and environmental parameters. This research was conducted in March 2024 at three stations along Sialang Buah Beach. The identified macrozoobenthos consisted of 21 species from 18 families. The diversity index (H’) values at each station were categorized as moderate. Principal Component Analysis revealed a positive correlation between bivalve diversity and temperature and pH, whereas depth, salinity, dissolved oxygen (DO), turbidity, total nitrogen, and phosphate showed negative correlations with macrozoobenthos diversity.
