dc.description.abstract | The verification and proposal process for social assistance recipients in Medan City is currently done manually, facing challenges such as difficulties in recording data in hardcopy form, incomplete complaint records, duplicate entries, data discrepancies, and data loss. This study aims to design and implement a mobile application to facilitate and expedite these processes. The methodology used is Waterfall, which includes requirement analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and final deployment. The application is developed using Kotlin on Android Studio, utilizing APIs for backend integration and Firebase for database management and user authentication. The verification feature ensures accurate data and eliminates duplicate entries, while the proposal feature simplifies the process of proposing social assistance by field officers. Additionally, the application provides detailed information about potential recipients, verification status, and real-time process stages, making it easier for officers to track. User testing indicates significant improvements in the speed and ease of verification and proposal processes compared to the previous manual method. This application is expected to support the Social Services of Medan City in providing better and more targeted services to those in need of social assistance. | en_US |
