dc.description.abstractThe success of a company is influenced by the individual performance of its employees. One effort to improve employee performance is through the work environment. This research aims to determine the role of the work environment in improving employee performance at PT. Bank X (Persero) Tbk Consumer Loan Area Unit Medan. This research uses quantitative methods by collecting data through questionnaires to 12 employees in the Consumer Loan Unit. The research results show that both physical and non-physical work environments are effective in improving the performance of PT employees. Bank X (Persero) Tbk Consumer Loan Medan Area Unit. However, the physical work environment has not been categorized well because lighting, color choices, noise and less than harmonious relationships between employees are still obstacles for employees in increasing employee productivity and performance.en_US
