A Description of The Main Character’s Conflict in The Netflix Series Baby Reindeer

Abstract

This research entitled “A Description of the Main Character Conflict in The Netflix Series Baby Reindeer”. The aim of this study is to describe the conflict of the main character, Baby Reindeer, in the series. This research focuses on explaining the types of conflicts faced by the main character in Baby Reindeer and analyzing how the main character manages to resolve these conflicts. The writer utilized a qualitative descriptive approach. Data was extracted from the Baby Reindeer series, including dialogues, sentences, words, and phrases.The result of this research reveal that the conflicts faced by the main character can be categorized into internal and external conflicts. The sources of conflict faced by the main character are his fear of obsessive behavior, trauma, self-blame, and lack of support from those around him. Conflict resolution occurs through actions where he seeks support and improves himself.This study concludes that the conflict in "Baby Reindeer" is not merely a physical or verbal battle but also represents a deep emotional and psychological struggle for its main character, Donny Dun.
