dc.description.abstractThis research aims to describe the education system in Indonesia during the Japanese colonial period, and during the reform era, as well as describe the transformation of the Indonesian education system during the Japanese colonization (1942-1945). The method used in this writing is a descriptive writing method, and data collection techniques are carried out through reading literature or written sources such as books, articles relating to the education system in Indonesia during the Japanese colonial period, and during the reform era by highlighting changes in structure, curriculum, and educational goals implemented by the Japanese government. The results show a significant impact on national education, including the adaptation of Japanese language and national values which influenced the development of post-independence education in Indonesia.en_US
