Sake plays a central role in various social and religious ceremonies, festivals, and daily interactions among Japanese society. Additionally, the economic impact of the sake industry is also discussed, highlighting its contribution to employment and tourism in Japan. The study is based on interviews with sake brewers, cultural experts and consumers to provide insight into the deep-rooted cultural meanings associated with sake. Understanding these words not only enriches our knowledge of Japanese culture but also informs strategies for cultural preservation and economic development.
