Abstract

Pematangsiantar Animal Park experiences visitor preferences, where there is a tendency that visitors, especially the younger generation, are more interested in new forms of entertainment that are more interactive, sensory and technology-based. The public is increasingly critical of environmental conditions and animal welfare in zoos. Even though zoos have an important role in conservation and education efforts, some people consider that zoos do not make maximum contributions to these issues. This research aims to analyze the attractiveness of the Pematangsiantar Animal Park as the main tourist destination in Pematangsiantar City. The research methods used are library research and research by collecting data and observing in the field. Based on the results of research and interviews conducted regarding the Attractions of the Pematangsiantar Animal Park together with the management. As the main destination in Pematangsiantar City, the author makes conclusions regarding the attractiveness of the Pematangsiantar Animal Park as the main tourist destination in Pematangsiantar City. With all the attractions starting from attractions as the main capital in tourism, the Pematangsiantar Animal Park has all the beauty of the flora and diversity of fauna in this park which provides high educational and entertainment value for visitors. Then the Pematangsiantar Animal Park has established cooperative relationships with national organizations and has very adequate accessibility and amenities as a supporting value for tourism at the Pematangsiantar Animal Park.
