dc.description.abstract | Water pollution comes from household waste, industrial waste, use of fossil fuels, pesticides and mining. Free chlorine is the result of remaining disinfectant in the form of chlorine, which is one of the processes of drinking water treatment. Chlorine is dangerous if it enters the body through inhalation with contaminated air, or ingestion with contaminated food or water. Apart from the pungent odor, chlorine gas can cause eye and respiratory irritation. Liquid waste standards for industrial activities solid liquid waste can be disposed of. One of the parameters included in the quality standard is chlorine in the form of free chlorine (Cl2) with a limit of 1 mg/liter. Analysis of free chlorine in clean water at the Public Health Laboratory Center (BLKM) using the Inscienpro Spectrophotometer. The analysis results revealed that the Cl2 concentration on clean water samples was 2,28 mg/L, 1,86 mg/L, 0,788 mg/L, 0,885 mg/L. Based on the results, the Cl2 concentration in the clean water samples exceeds the standar limit drinking water based on Permenkes No.2 Tahun 2023. | en_US |
