Evaluasi Perpustakaan Desa Bakaran Batu Kabupaten Deli Serdang Menggunakan Peraturan Kepala Perpustakaan Nasional RI Nomor 6 Tahun 2017

Abstract

The objective of the research is to find out the organization of village library based on the Decree of the Head of the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia No. 6/2017 at the Library of Bakaran Batu Village. The specific research problem is about the library collection, facility and infrastructure, services, librarians, organization, and management of village library. The research uses descriptive qualitative method. There are six informants, consisting of three librarians and three borrowers. The data are gathered by conducting interview, observation, and documentation and analyzed by using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The result of the research shows that the Decree of the Head of the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia No. 6/2017 on the National Standard of Village Library which has been applied by Bakaran Batu Village Library is in the indicators of the latest collection, reference collection, collection maintenance, lending and borrowing, library location, rooms, facilities, opening hours, service pattern, the number of librarians, qualification of the library head, qualification of librarians, fostering librarians, establishing a library, library organization, and library management. Several things which are not in accordance with the standard are the number of collection; the type of collection, book processing, collection per capita, acquiring books, library building, types of service, and the implementation of library.
