| dc.description.abstract | This research is about the character analysis of the characters in the movie الرحل ة
/Ar-Riḥlah/. The problems raised in this study are the role of the characters and the
character analysis of the characters depicted in the movie الرحلة /Ar-Riḥlah/. The
purpose of this study is to describe the role of characters and character analysis of
characters in the movie الرحلة /Ar-Riḥlah/. This research uses descriptive qualitative
method, with data collection methods of documentation study and listening and
note-taking techniques. The theory used in this research is the role of the character
from Saptaria and character analysis from Edgar. The results in this study show that
the characters in the film الرحلة /Ar-Riḥlah/ amounted to ten characters, namely Aus
bin Jubair, Zurara, Abrahah, Hawkab, Nizar, Mus'ab, Muthalib, Hind, Hisham, and
Sabit. Based on Saptaria's character roles, the characters are included in the
protagonist role, antagonist role, deutragonist role, foil role, tritagonist role, and
utility role, while the racioneur role is not found in this study. Data analysis based
on Edgar's character analysis theory found the characters to be strong, kind,
ambitious, unyielding, brave, stubborn, worried, funny, agile, responsible, selfsacrificing,
reliable fighters, cruel, arrogant, and vengeful. | en_US |
