Analisis Faktor-Faktor yang Mempengaruhi Penyebaran Penyakit Mulut dan Kuku (PMK) pada Sapi Potong di Kecamatan Lima Puluh Kabupaten Batu Bara

Abstract

This research aims to recognize the factors that influence Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) in beef cattle in Kecamatan Lima Puluh, Kabupaten Batu Bara. The research was conducted in November 2022 - January 2023 using purposive sampling. The population of FMD cases was highest in Simpang Gambus Village (737 cases), Mangkai Lama Village (732 cases), Sumber Makmur Village (611 cases) and Mangkai Baru Village (500 cases). Sampling of 30 respondents in each village by interviewing respondents to find out the information on factors that affecting the spread of FMD in beef cattle. Data analysis conducted was Linear Regression Analysis, Hypothesis Test, and SWOT Analysis. The results have shown that FMD distribution is strong and that the chance of FMD dispersal of beef cattle are the shed management, direct contact and indirect contact. While the results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that three variables simultaneously have an influence on the spread of FMD. According to the data, the Fcount value is greater than Ftable 2.720 > 2.479 with a significant value (0.025 < 0.05). And the results of the SWOT Analysis obtained that the IFAS value is 1.43 and the EFAS value is 0.58, this shows that the analysis of the factor s of the spread of foot and mouth disease in beef cattle in Kecamatan Lima Puluh, Kabupaten Batu Bara is influenced by shed management, direct contact and indirect contact.
