Sweet potatoes are the fourth food crop produces carbohydrates. Sweet potato cultivation can be done in rice fields. Intensive use of chemicals can reduce the fertility of rice fields. Providing biological fertilizer is an alternative solution. The aim of the research was to determine the growth and production of several local sweet potato genotypes when applied with liquid biological fertilizer in rice fields. The research was carried out in the rice fields of Bajenis Subdistrict, Tebing Tinggi City, North Sumatra, from August to December 2023. The design used was a Factorial Randomized Complete Block Design with 3 replications and 2 factors. Factor I Sweet potato genotypes: local genotypes Tanah Seribu Orange Tubers, Sunggal Orange Tubers, and Sunggal Yellow Tubers. Factor II Liquid biological fertilizer: 0 l/ha, 12.5 l/ha, 25 l/ha and 37.5 l/ha. Based on research, it was found that local sweet potato genotypes were significantly different in vine length, tuber diameter, number of tubers per sample, and class B fresh tuber grading. The application of liquid biological fertilizer had a significant effect on vine length, tuber diameter, tuber weight per sample, tuber weight per plot and grading of class A fresh tubers. The interaction between local sweet potato genotypes and the application of liquid biofertilizer had no significant effect on all parameters.en_US
