Pendugaan Biomassa Serasah dan Tanah pada Area Tegakan Gaharu di Desa Hessa Perlompongan dan Kelurahan Sidomukti Kabupaten Asahan

Abstract

Agarwood is a tree that produces non wood forest products and has high economic value. Biomass as a provider of information in estimating the amount of carbon. The presence of litter is a place to store carbon. Litter is useful for the soil if it has undergone decomposition (decomposition) and most of the nutrients in the soil come from the litter. There is a need for research to analyze estimates of biomass and litter carbon reserves, and soil carbon as well as analyzing the influence of litter carbon on soil carbon in the gaharu stand area in Hessa Perlompongan Village and Sidomukti Village, Asahan Regency. This research was carried out from October to December 2023. The population in this study was the amount of litter and soil in the gaharu stand area. The sampling technique in this research used a purposive sampling technique. The research results showed that the total litter biomass in Hessa Perlompongan Village was 12.70 tons/ha while in Sidomukti Village it was 3.25 tons/ha. Total litter carbon in Hessa Perlompongan Village is 2.88 tons/ha while in Sidomukti Village it is 0.75 tons/ha. Total soil carbon in Hessa Perlompongan Village is 87.01 tons/ha while in Sidomukti Village it is 63.29 tons/ha. The results of statistical tests on the effect of litter carbon on soil carbon show that litter carbon has no significant effect on soil carbon in Hessa Perlompongan Village and Sidomukti Village.
