Analisis Kerapatan Hutan dan Rekomendasi Tumbuhan Bekas Hutan Tanaman Industri (HTI) di Hutan Lindung Kecamatan Ronggur Nihuta
Forest Density Analysis and Rekomendations on Land Former Industrial Plantation Forest Land in Protected Forest Area, Subdistrict of Ronggur Nihura
Abstract
Protected forests are forest areas that have the main function as a life support system to regulate water management. prevent flooding, control erosion, prevent sea water intrusion, and maintain soil fertility. If damage occurs to forest areas, the forest cannot carry out its functions properly. In this research, there was damage to the protected forest area in the Ronggur Nihuta sub-district, Samosir Regency, which was previously an industrial park forest managed by Indorayon. This research uses a geographic information system (GIS) to analyze protected forest areas. This research uses land cover with a guided method, NDVI to see the density of vegetation in protected forest areas and recommend plants using the inventory method. The results of the land cover analysis revealed 5 classes, namely forest with an area of 3293.16 Ha (72.8%), shrubs with an area of 837.06 Ha (18.5%), agriculture with an area of 199.73 Ha (4, 41 %), open land with an area of 182.4 Ha (4.03%) and built up land with an area of 10.63 Ha (0.23 %). The aim of this research is to recommend plants in protected forest areas so that they can function properly again.
