dc.description.abstract | The phenomenon of climate change often occurs in Indonesia which results in losses for living things, especially humans. One of these climate changes causes flooding. Flooding is a natural disaster that occurs in watersheds. This research uses Geographic Information System (GIS) to identify the spatial distribution of flood vulnerability in the Belumai watershed. The method used in this research is scoring and weighting each flood parameter, namely land cover, rainfall, distance from the river, slope, elevation, and soil type. The results of the analysis show that the Belumai watershed is dominated by the moderately prone flood vulnerability level of 36,454.30 Ha (46.83%), followed by the prone flood vulnerability level of 30,658.70 Ha (39.38%), the not prone vulnerability level of 9,131.41 Ha (11.73%), and the highly vulnerable vulnerability level of 1,604.59 Ha (2.06%). This research also tested the flooded areas on 18 August 2022, 19 November 2022 and 10 December 2022, by comparing the flood vulnerability classes. And in preventing flooding in the Belumai watershed, several structural mitigation efforts were carried out such as making gabions, embankments, dams, normalizing rivers and improving drainage, and watershed rehabilitation. And non-structural mitigation such as forming a disaster preparedness community. | en_US |
