Kajian Strategi dan Pengelolaan Hutan Mangrove pada KPH Unit X KPHL Batu Bara

Abstract

Batu Bara Regency has a forest area with coastal forest characteristics dominated by mangrove ecosystems and managed by Unit X KPHL Batu Bara. At present, with a relatively small forest area compared to other KPH units, forest management in Unit X KPHL Batu Bara is not optimal yet and has several problems so that a forest management strategy is needed in Unit X KPHL Batu Bara to improve the quality of the forest management unit to become more effective and efficient. The results showed that tree-level density conditions in mangrove ecosystems were rare with moderate species diversity, but based on Gap analysis using IPA analysis for community satisfaction with forest management in Unit X KPHL Batu Bara was still lacking in several factors so a strategy for more forest management was needed. either in collaboration with other parties to manage, utilize, and promote environmental services as well as to rehabilitate mangrove forests and carry out forest security and protection, as well as build and develop environmental service business units and landscape beauty, optimizing coordination with other agencies or other institutions, with adequate financial and budget support to support the operational activities of Unit X KPHL Batu Bara.
