Vannamei shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) is an export commodity that has quite high demand both at home and abroad. The limiting factor in cultivating vannamei shrimp that is often reported is White Spot disease caused by White Spot Syndrome Virus (WSSV). This research aims to detect and analyze the body parts of vannamei shrimp infected with WSSV found in the Percut Shrimp Pond, Percut Sei Tuan District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra. This research was conducted from October to November 2023. In this research, shrimp pond water quality was tested and WSSV was detected using the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) method. The results of WSSV detection showed that positive WSSV results were characterized by DNA bands of 500 bp and 910 bp and the parts of the body most frequently infected with the virus were the swimming legs and hepatopancreas.en_US
