dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this study is to analyze the position of the agricultural sector in Humbang Hasundutan Regency using the classy typology, to analyze the superior commodities of food crops between Humbang Hasundutan Regency and the surrounding areas using location quotient analysis, and to analyze the relationship between the number of food crop commodity production and the growth rate and sector contribution using the Pearson Correlation test. The results of the study show that the position of the agricultural sector in Humbang Hasundutan Regency is in the developed sector but depressed both before and during the implementation of the Food Estate, the food crop commodities that are the flagship in Humbang Hasundutan Regency before the implementation of the Food Estate program are rice fields & fields and cassava, while after the Food Estate program is rice fields & fields and corn. The horticultural commodity that became the basis before the food security program was shallots, when this program was running, the leading commodities were shallots and garlic. Then finally, the relationship between the number of food crop production and the growth rate in rice and field crops is quite strong, corn plants are quite strong, sweet potato plants are quite strong, cassava plants are strong, peanuts are very weak, shallots are strong, garlic is very strong, and potatoes are strong.
