dc.description.abstract | Rice (Oryza sativa L.) is a cultivated plant that is very important for humans, especially because its seeds are a staple food. During the process of milling rice into rice, the husks are separated from the rice using a grinding machine. According to the Agricultural Research and Developmenth Agency, Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia, the results of rice milling produce 20- 30% rice husks, 8-12% bran, and 50-63.5% rice. This research aims to design a rice (Oryza sativa L.) griding machine. The parameters observed were the effective capacity of the equipment, percentage of milled rice yield, percentage of whole rice, percentage of head rice, percentage of broken rice. The research results show the effective capacity of the tool is 8.056 kg/hour. The percentage yield of milled rice is 65%. The percentage of whole rice is 68.10%. The percentage of head rice is 7.71%. The percentage of broken rice was 25.56%. | en_US |
