dc.description.abstractWaste can be defined as waste substances or materials resulting from a production process, both industrial and domestic. The focus of this research examines the chemical components of organic solid waste. Chemical properties consist of structural and non-structural components. Therefore, the aim of this research is to determine the test results of the chemical components analyzed including the structural chemical composition including holocellulose, α-cellulose, hemicellulose, ASL (Acid Soluble Lignin) and AIL (Acid Isoluble Lignin), as well as the chemical composition of non- structural such as extractives with ethanol benzene 1:2 and ash content. The samples tested were durian peel, bamboo leaves, vegetables and mahogany litter. The results of the research show that there are variations in the values of the chemical properties of organic solid waste. The highest lignin content of ASL is found in vegetables at 7.85% and the lowest in mahogany litter at 3.19%. The highest AIL lignin content was found in mahogany litter at 16.15% and the lowest in vegetables at 10.68%. The highest level of holocellulose was found in durian skin at 58.92%. The highest alpha-cellulose content was found in vegetables 36.36%. The highest hemicellulose content is found in bamboo leaves, namely, 27.33%. Bamboo leaves have the highest extractive substance value in alcohol-benzene 1:2, namely 9.23%. The ash content of vegetables has the highest value, namely 16.35%.en_US
