In the traditional ceremony of Saur Matua ethnic Batak Toba, and the values of local wisdom contained in roto gaja Lumpat in the traditional ceremony of Saur Matua ethnic Toba Batak. The theory used in this research is the theory of local wisdom proposed by Robert Sibarani (2014). The method used in research is a qualitative method that is descriptive. The stages in the roto gaja lumpat in the saur matua traditional ceremony are divided into two stages, namely the preparation stage and the implementation stage and each stage consists of several parts. The preparation stage consists of: 1) the stage of tataring, 2) the stage of martonggo raja, 3) the stage of making roto gaja lumpat. The stages of implementation are: 1) the mompo stage, 2) the marsisulu ari stage, 3) the maralaman stage, 4) the tariak stage, 5) the funeral stage, 6) the joint eating stage, 7)the jambar stage. The values of local wisdom contained in roto gaja lumpat in the traditional ceremony of saur matua are 1) the value of politeness, 2) the value of honesty, 3) the value of social solidarity, 4) the value of harmony and conflict resolution, 5) the value of commitment, 6) positive thoughts, 7) the value of gratitude, 8) the value of hard work, 9) the value of discipline, 10) the value of education, 11) the value of health, 12) the value of gotong royong, 13) the value of management of genjer, 14) the value of cultural preservation and creativity, 15) the value of caring for the environment.
