dc.description.abstract | This research explains the history of South Tapanuli Regency in 1998-2014. The aim of this research is to explain the history of South Tapanuli Regency before and after 1998. The methods used in this research are heuristics (data collection), and critical verification (authenticity of data), interpretation (study of sources), and historiography (writing history). In collecting data, this research used literature in the form of books in the South Tapanuli Regency Library and Archives Service. Books owned by the people of South Tapanuli Regency, and field studies carried out by interviewing sources and observing historical places. From this research, information was obtained that the area of South Tapanuli Regency before 1998 was quite large, including Mandailing Natal, Padangsidimpuan City, Padang Lawas, and North Padang Lawas. Because the area of South Tapanuli Regency is almost 4 of the area of North Sumatra Province, based on these considerations, with the aim of accelerating development in the South Tapanuli Regency area, Law Number 12 of 1998 concerning the Establishment of Mandailing Natal Regency was issued. And the formation of Padangsidimpuan City which is regulated in the Law of the Republic of Indonesia no. 4 of 2001. Furthermore, based on Decree from the Minister of Forestry Number 244 of 2011 dated 29 April 2011 concerning the Determination of an Office Area covering an area of 271 Ha located in Sipirok, precisely in Kilang Papan Village. On August 10 2012 office construction began. And on August 12 2014, we gradually started to have an office at the South Tapanuli Regency Government Office Complex in Sipirok, precisely in Kilang Papan Village. | en_US |
