Persepsi Mahasiswa terhadap Layanan Pendidikan Pemakai (User Education) pada Perpustakaan Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Pertanian Agrobisnis Perkebunan Medan

Abstract

The aim of the research is to find out how students perceive user education services in the library of STIPAP–LPP Medan. The research method used is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The population of this research was all STIP-AP students who were registered as active members of the library, totaling 1,558 people. The sample was determined by applying the Slovin formula with an error rate of 10%, and the sample size was 94 people. The sampling technique was carried out using accidental sampling technique. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires and literature study. The results of the research show that: students' perceptions of the indicator "Materials for User Education" are quite good with an average gain of 50.26%; Student perceptions of the indicator "Methods in Implementing User Education" are quite good with an average score of 56.74%; Student perceptions of the indicator "Delivery Media during User Education" are quite good with an average gain of 58.61%; and student perceptions of the "Role/Contribution of Librarians" indicator are quite good with an average score of 58.50%. The researcher concluded that students' perceptions of user education services in the library of Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Pertanian Agrobisnis Perkebunan Medan were quite good with an average score of 58.67%.
