| dc.description.abstract | This research discusses the phenomenon of Kyabakura in Kabukichou, Japan, highlighting the unique and complex entertainment industry in the country. Kyabakura, short for "cabaret club," is an entertainment venue that offers social interaction services between hostesses and customers, focusing on drinks, conversation, and light entertainment. The aim of this research is to provide insights into what Kyabakura is, the lives of the hostesses working in Kyabakura, and the impact of Kyabakura on Japanese society. In this research, the author gathers data for analysis from the video by Steph Choi "I Tried Working as a Japanese Hostess for a Day (Kyabakura)" and the video by Asian Boss titled "Meet The Number 1 Hostess in Japan" on the YouTube platform. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method using a literature review technique to find solutions to problems. This study utilizes the phenomenological theory popularized by Husserl. The results of this research indicate that the positive impacts of Kyabakura on Japanese society, particularly in Kabukichou, Japan, include job creation for women, enhancement of social skills through interaction, customer service, time management, and teamwork, as well as achieving high career and income levels. However, there are also negative impacts of Kyabakura, such as the pressure to maintain appearances, which can create psychological stress. The unstable work environment due to the misuse of trust by customers and hostesses, and the risk of sexual harassment by customers towards hostesses are also highlighted. | en_US |
