Analisis Kinerja Sistem Informasi Smart Perpustakaan Universitas Prima Indonesia Menggunakan Pieces Framework

Abstract

This study aims to determine the performance of the Prima Indonesia University Library SMART information system using the PIECES Framework. The research method used was a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Informants were selected through purposive sampling, consisting of seven informants: the Head of IT, IT Staff, Librarians, and Users. Data collection was carried out using structured interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis carried out was data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The data presentation techniques used were narrative text, tables, and documentation. The results showed that the performance of the Prima Indonesia University Library SMART information system using the PIECES Framework was: Performance, in general has been running well. However, system performance would slow down during peak user hours due to user traffic. Information, all information in SMART has fulfilled the needs of library users. Economy, the costs incurred for SMART were significant, but the benefits were more in the form of value. Control and Security, access rights, and user data security were maintained in the SMART system. Efficiency, SMART was considered to increase the efficiency of library operations. Service, SMART was considered to provide satisfying services for librarians and library users. Overall, the SMART system has shown good efficiency for librarians and library users at Prima Indonesia University.
