Translation errors can occur due to the delivery of a translated source language that cannot be accepted by the target language. Moreover, the lack of attention to new terms adopted in the source language means that translation errors often occur. Therefore, this research aims to describe and correct errors resulting from the translation of local guide reviews in see translation feature on Google Maps. The data source in this research was taken from Google Maps application and the results of interviews with translator. Researchers used a qualitative descriptive approach with thematic analysis techniques to describe the types of errors. Documentation and interview techniques were use method for data collection. From the results of the research that has been carried out, 194 data on translation errors were obtained. Based on "orthography" taxonomy, 19 types of errors were found with a percentage of 9.79%, In "lexis" taxonomy, 36 data were found with a percentage of 18.54%. "Grammar" taxonomy found 23 data with a percentage of 11.85% In the "semantic" taxonomy, 91 data were found with a percentage of 46.88%. And the last one, namely "discourse" taxonomy, 25 data were found with a percentage of 12.88% From the research findings, it can be concluded that the type of error that is most often found is in "semantic" taxonomy. The implication of this research is that by knowing these errors, the creator of the translation application can produce a better translation and know the techniques for improving the translation results in accordance with the context of the reviews made by "local guides" on Google Maps application, which in generally discussing the service, atmosphere, and condition of a place.
