Discharge is the rate of water flow through a cross section in unit time.
Changes in volume and water level often occur during the rainy season and cause
the volume of water to increase. The water level relationship equation can be used
to determine the relationship between water level and discharge. One of the
problems in the Karai sub-watershed is the absence of an equation for debit
calibration, direct debit determination is not easy because it requires a lot of time
and cost, by doing research it can be seen the magnitude of the discharge value.
The purpose of this study was to obtain the equation of the relationship between
river discharge and water level in the Karai sub-watershed, this research was
carried out by taking river discharge data directly in the Karai river. The results
showed that the river water discharge at SPAS Karai has a value that varies from
0.52 to 1.11 m3/second with an average of 0.52 m3/second. The discharge value
regression test was carried out with several types of models, namely linear,
polynomial, exponent, logarithmic, and exponential. Rank model polinomial the
highest level of correlation with R=0,98and RMSE= 0.01 with the equation Q= -
