dc.description.abstract | The plant coefficient value is a factor that greatly influences plant water needs. The plant coefficient for cayenne pepper can be estimated by knowing the evapotranspiration value. The diversity of factors and limitations of tools in determining evapotranspiration directly are the reasons for conducting this research. The research was carried out in August 2023 – February 2024 in the Greenhouse and Research and Technology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, University of North Sumatra, using experimental methods and the Hargreaves method with indirect measurements of factors that influence the evapotranspiration rate, with Inceptisol soil media. The research results showed that the coefficient value for cayenne pepper plants in the initial phase was 0.82, in the middle phase it was 1.12 and in the final phase, it was 0.87. The coefficient value for cayenne pepper plants varies based on the plant's growth phase according to the factors that influence the evapotranspiration rate. | en_US |
