Shallot is one of horticulture commodity in Indonesia, cultivated to be
consumed as one of the cooking spices. Shallot is one of commodities that contribute
to inflation rate in a country. Fluctuation of shallot price caused by the amount of
national production has not meet the need of these product in Indonesia and
seasonal production. The change of price that occur in a market can affect price
changes in other markets. This study aims to analyze the integration of shallot
prices in sub-district, district, provincial, and national markets, as well as to
analyze the elasticity of shallot price transmission at the national producer and
consumer levels. The analysis model used is the VAR/VECM model to assess
integration between markets and price transmission elasticity to assess the
transmission of national shallot producer and consumer prices. The data used is
secondary data in the form of time series data, namely shallot price data at
Nainggolan Market, Percontohan Pangururan Market, Lau Cih Main Market, and
Kramat Jati Main Market. As well as national producer level red onion price data
from 2018 to 2020. The results of the study show that the four markets experience
cointegration or long-term and short-term relationships. Kramat Jati Market
influences Lau Cih Main Market, Percontohan Pangururan Market, and
Nainggolan, Lau Cih Main Market influences Kramat Jati Main Market, and Lau
Cih Main Market itself, and Percontohan Pangururan Market influences
Percontohan Pangururan Market itself. And the EPT results show that the rate of
adjustment at national producer level is faster than national consumer level.
