dc.description.abstract | Gogo rice is a type of rice that is grown on dry land and does not require irrigation so that it can only get water from rainfall to grow. Gogo rice is one of the germplasm sources of rice genetic diversity in Indonesia, however, the contribution of gogo rice is still low so its development needs to be pursued. This study aims to determine the value and diversity of nutrient content in several introduced gogo rice cultivars from Padang Lawas Regency, Sumatera Utara Province as an initial selection to be used as crossbreeding elders. This research was conducted at the Integrated Central Laboratory and Agricultural Biotechnology Laboratory of the University of Sumatera Utara with an altitude of 25 masl starting from November 2023 to January 2024. This research was conducted with descriptive method by direct observation in the laboratory and analyzed with simple statistics. The results showed that the nutritional content of 10 local gogo rice cultivars had diverse and uniform characteristics in both qualitative and quantitative characters. Introduced local gogo rice cultivars from Padang Lawas Regency have desirable properties such as moisture content <15% which meets SNI in cultivars Sibobo, Sibahopo Pinang, Sioppa Boru, Sianak Bujuk, Sibara Putih, Sibara, Siloba, Sijakkar Durian and Sisantap Raja, ash content <3.50% which meets SNI in all cultivars and other nutritional content is also as desired. | en_US |
